We are thrilled to announce that our very own Director & Head Coach, Allison Miller, was inducted into the Tennis Coaches Australia Hall of Fame at their annual awards night on 8 September 2024!
With over 40 years of dedication to tennis, Allison’s incredible journey is an inspiration to us all. To be inducted into the Hall of Fame requires over 30 years of service as a coach, and her story is nothing short of amazing. From humble beginnings in Gippsland, where she first learned to serve the night before her first match, to becoming a highly respected coach and mentor, Allison’s passion for the sport has always shone through. She trained in makeshift court spaces, and travelled long distances to Melbourne for training and tournaments, all while balancing a job at the local bank. But her heart was always in tennis, and coaching became her true calling.
Today, Allison is not only a life member of the Berwick Tennis Club but also a former ladies’ club champion and current junior coordinator. Her impact on the club and her students is immeasurable. Many of her students have gone on to become coaches themselves, and her reputation continues to draw new players to her classes and our club. We are proud to call her our coach and friend.
